About Cougar Camp

 

Cougar Camp Director Nate Camp, is a graduate of Colby-Sawyer College, where he helped captain the 1998 ECAC Championship team that was most recently inducted into the Colby-Sawyer Athletic Hall of Fame. His coaching experiences include Colby-Sawyer Womens’ Assistant, Proctor Academy Mens’ Assistant and presently the Kearsarge Boys Varsity Basketball Head Coach. Coach Camp has led Kearsarge to 8 post-season tournaments in his 10 years, the Cougars had an outstanding 2017 campaign finishing 20-2, winning the 1st Boys Basketball State Championship in school history. In 2019, the Cougars surprised everyone as the #9 seed making another trip to the State Championship game, upsetting the #8, #5 and #1 seeded teams as they finished Runner Up. It was the 3rd time in 4 years that Kearsarge has played in the state title game. Coach Camp was named Coach of Year in 2010 and again in 2016. Camp continues to be an active member in the local community, where he volunteers with the Outing Club, helps organize the Youth Basketball league and has helped coach youth Soccer, Basketball and Lacrosse. This summer will mark the 13th anniversary of Cougar Basketball Camp.

lasting relationships between players and coaches in the Kearsarge community."

We are offering three weeks of Cougar Camp this summer, which will take place at Kearsarge Regional

Middle School from 9:00am-3:30pm. This camp is open to boys & girls with an age range from 6-14 years. On Friday afternoon of each week we will have a pizza party, followed by fun competitions and a special awards ceremony. Cougar Camp is $185 per person, only $170 for the 2nd / 3rd sibling. If you attend 2 weeks of camp, total cost $355 per person, if you attend all 3 weeks total cost is $510.

What to Bring?
 
Please bring a bag lunch and water bottle each day to stay hydrated. We will give plenty of water breaks so you can fill up your bottle when necessary. Wear comfortable basketball sneakers or running sneakers, shorts and t-shirt, as we will be active with drills and playing games throughout the day. Also, bring your listening skills and positive attitude, as we are here to work hard, have fun and help make you the best basketball player you can be!
